Where the Boys are
My friends and I are constantly lamenting over the fact that there are NO MEN anywhere in this city. How else can you explain the fact that we're all single? There are 5 of us who are all educated, fun, friendly, financially stable, independent and not to mention gorgeous. Yet, we're single. And I don't just mean "not-in-a-serious-relationship" single. I'm talking "not-even-going-out-on-dates" single.
I have my own theories as to why this is. I personally think we're all too set in our lives to go out and actively look for boyfriends. We all have really full and meaningful lives, even if we're not in love. Add to that, the fact that we're all single together, so it's not like we're ever lonely. I think we'd be more motivated to get into a relationship if it were just one or two of us who were single. But since there's a big group of us, there's always someone around to hang out with, so the pressure's not really there to hook up.
However, the general concensus of the group is that the reason why all of us amazing women are single is simply the fact that there are no available (and desireable) men out there. All the good ones are taken, and the ones who aren't......well....there's a reason why they aren't.
Is that the truth? I decided to find out.
I've created this blog in an effort to chronicle the so-called adventures of our group of glorious girlies. To find out if there really are men out there, and if we're looking in the right places. Any feedback from the general public would be greatly appreciated. Maybe you have some ideas as to where we should look, what we should do. I can't promise that we'll try everything, but I am willing to take all suggestions with an open mind.
In the meantime, if our collective theory is true, that there really are no more good men out there to meet, hey at least we'll have a permanent diary of our adventures to look back on for a laugh or two.
